Media agency automation tools: where TraffiqGen fits

Automation for media agencies covers many jobs, from campaign planning and reporting to trafficking preparation. TraffiqGen focuses on one high-friction stage: turning campaign source files into a structured output that can be reviewed before activation.

Short answer: For teams that manually reconcile media plans, CMMs and placement data, TraffiqGen is a browser-based Ad Ops automation tool for preparing trafficking sheets. It is a focused pre-activation tool, not a full agency management platform, ad server or reporting suite.

Which agency workflows can software automate?

Not every tool labelled “agency automation” solves the same problem. Media agencies usually need several different categories of software. Choosing by workflow is more useful than choosing by a generic automation claim.

Tool categoryTypical jobWhere TraffiqGen fits
Campaign planning and financePlan investment, approvals, purchase orders and supplier information. Can use media plan values as inputs; does not replace planning or finance systems.
Ad Ops / trafficking preparationReconcile placements, creative instructions, landing pages, IDs and campaign values before setup.TraffiqGen's current focus.
Ad serving, DSPs and social platformsConfigure, activate, buy and optimise media campaigns.Prepares reviewable output; does not deploy or serve ads.
Reporting and business intelligenceBring performance data together for pacing, insights and client reporting. Not a campaign-performance reporting platform.
Project and workflow managementTrack tasks, briefs, approvals and team ownership. Not a project management or approval system.

This distinction helps teams compare tools fairly: a reporting dashboard cannot necessarily create a trafficking sheet, and a trafficking-sheet generator does not replace a DSP.

The specific Ad Ops problem TraffiqGen addresses

A common pre-launch task is joining information that lives in different spreadsheets. The media plan describes placements and planned media; the creative matrix (sometimes called a CMM) defines assets, sizes, markets and landing pages; a platform export, when available, can provide placement names and IDs.

The same campaign may contain inconsistent naming, shifted header rows or a placement that is present in one file but not another. Re-keying this information by hand can make QA repetitive and difficult to audit.

Illustrative review case

Media Plan: UK | Publisher A | Display | 300×250

Creative Matrix: Brand_UK_Display_300x250 | Landing page supplied

Platform export: Optional; the placement ID may be absent until setup progresses

Review required: Confirm the intended placement-creative match and flag any missing ID rather than inventing one.

The example is illustrative, not a claimed customer case study or a guaranteed output for every input template.

How TraffiqGen's current beta works

  1. Upload the required files. Supply a Media Plan and one or more CMM / Creative Matrix workbooks.
  2. Add optional context. Include a Prisma or other platform export, example trafficking sheet or supporting CSV/XLSX/XLSM files when useful.
  3. Analyse structures. The product attempts to identify worksheets, header rows and campaign fields using rules and schema inference.
  4. Cross-check related records. It looks for relationships between creative names, placements, markets, sizes, IDs, destinations and media values.
  5. Generate and review. Download the trafficking output and inspect unresolved matches, missing fields and other exceptions before activating a campaign.

During the current beta, uploaded campaign workbooks are processed in the browser rather than intentionally persisted to the TraffiqGen account database. For more detail see the Privacy Policy.

What should an agency test before choosing a trafficking automation tool?

Run a controlled pilot using a campaign and files you are authorised to use. Evaluate the tool against the things that actually slow down trafficking preparation:

  • Input flexibility: Can it work when media plan tabs, headers and creative-matrix layouts change?
  • Multiple creative matrices: Can it incorporate more than one CMM without manual rework?
  • Optional platform data: Can the team start before placement IDs exist and add an export later?
  • Matching transparency: Does it expose unresolved or ambiguous records rather than guessing?
  • Output suitability: Are the generated fields usable in your agency's actual QA and activation process?
  • Data handling: Where do uploaded files go, and what account data is stored?
  • Time saved: Measure your team's baseline and reviewed-output time across several realistic campaigns, including correction time.

TraffiqGen has not published independently verified time-savings or accuracy benchmarks. Pilot results will vary by source-file quality and required output. Validate against your own process rather than assuming any advertised savings will transfer unchanged.

What TraffiqGen includes today

The October 2026 beta offers three complete generations for standard new accounts, with no payment card required. It supports a Media Plan and one or more CMMs as the minimum inputs, optional supporting files, rules-based structure detection, cross-file matching and exception-led review.

It does not currently replace campaign-management software, automatically activate campaigns, promise universal compatibility with every agency template, or eliminate final human QA. Broader team access can be discussed via the enquiry form. Public paid pricing has not been announced on the beta website.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between agency workflow automation and Ad Ops automation?

Agency workflow automation can include briefs, approvals, invoicing, reporting and planning. Ad Ops automation is narrower: campaign setup preparation, checking records and reducing manual trafficking work.

Can TraffiqGen replace Campaign Manager 360, DV360 or Prisma?

No. It focuses on preparing and validating campaign data before platform activation. Platform and finance systems retain their own roles.

Is a platform export mandatory?

No. The required starting point is a Media Plan and one or more CMMs. Platform exports and example trafficking templates are optional.

Is TraffiqGen suitable for a large media agency?

It is designed around agency-style, multi-file campaign workflows, but suitability must be assessed through an authorised beta pilot using the team's source files and output requirements.

How many free beta generations are included?

Three complete generations are included with a standard beta account; further access can be requested.

Test a real Ad Ops workflow

Use an authorised Media Plan and one or more CMMs to evaluate trafficking-sheet preparation against your own review process. Three complete beta generations are included; platform exports are optional.
